Our commitment: We do not sell your personal data. We collect only what's needed to run the App. You can request deletion of your data at any time.

1. Overview

Neuro ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Neuro mobile application ("App").

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. We take your privacy seriously and will never sell your personal data to third parties.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password hash. No plaintext passwords are stored.

Gameplay Data: We collect puzzle completion data, scores, streaks, time spent, and difficulty preferences to power your adaptive experience.

Device Information: We collect your device type, operating system version, app version, and crash reports to improve stability and compatibility.

Analytics: We use anonymized, aggregated analytics to understand how features are used. This data cannot be used to identify individual users.

Communications: If you contact us, we retain your messages to respond and improve our support.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: (a) provide, operate, and maintain the App; (b) personalize your puzzle experience and difficulty; (c) process transactions and send related notifications; (d) send service announcements and newsletters you've opted into; (e) analyze usage patterns to improve the App; (f) detect and prevent fraud or abuse; and (g) comply with legal obligations.

We will never use your data to serve third-party advertising.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data with:

Service Providers: Trusted third parties who assist us in operating the App (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics), bound by confidentiality agreements.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority.

Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred to the successor entity under equivalent privacy protections.

With Your Consent: We may share data for other purposes with your explicit consent.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting privacy@neurogame.org.

Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business interest (e.g., fraud prevention).

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, secure authentication, and regular security audits. Access to user data is strictly limited to authorized personnel.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to protecting your data using commercially reasonable means.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it immediately.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: (a) access your personal data; (b) correct inaccurate data; (c) request deletion of your data; (d) object to or restrict processing; (e) data portability; and (f) withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise these rights, contact privacy@neurogame.org. We will respond within 30 days. For EU/EEA users, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

9. Cookies and Tracking

The App may use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and preferences. The website uses strictly necessary cookies only. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising.

You can control cookie settings through your browser settings, though disabling cookies may affect functionality.

10. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. When transferring data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by relevant regulatory bodies to ensure your data is protected.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
